Weather in Boston

Weather in Boston can change very quickly. There's a reason residents say;

If you don't like the weather in Boston, wait a day.

Spring weather (April and May) is most changeable and can be cool, with rain and some chance of snow, but also bright and sunny. Lightweight jackets or coats and rainproof comfortable shoes are best for walking outdoors. Average daily temperature is 48 degrees.

Summer (June, July and August) is warm and sunny with ocean breezes almost every day. Light comfortable cotton clothing is best with sturdy walking shoes. Average daily temperature in June, July, and August is 71 degrees.

Fall months (September, October, and November) are beautiful and sunny. Lightweight coats or sweaters and comfortable shoes are best for walking outdoors. Average daily temperature is 55 degrees.

Winter months (December, January, February and March) temperatures vary from cold snowy weather around 20 degrees to warm balmy days around 50 degrees. It can be very sunny. Warm coats and waterproof boots are best for walking outdoors. Average daily temperature is 33 degrees.
