Freedom Trail Tour App

Freedom Trail Foundation's new official Freedom Trail® app is available for iOS and Android devices. The app connects 16 of America’s most significant historical landmarks. The innovative offering highlights the rich history of the American Revolution as it unfolded in Boston, as well as a wide assortment of historic sites just steps off the Trail.  Bringing the stories of the brave people who helped shape America to life, it makes any visit to and walk along the Freedom Trail fun and educational. The Freedom Trail Foundation has partnered with STQRY, a leading mobile app technology platform to create this Freedom Trail experience.  Signature events such as Paul Revere’s midnight ride, the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Boston Tea Party, and the Boston Massacre are featured as well as other historic events and over 250 years of history. The app guides users on the Trail with automatic audio at stops with GPS mapping as well as an interactive map that helps find stops with ease, and over 1.5 hours of audio content, including music and guest interviews with historians and academics.  Additionally, photos, images and text for all stops invite people to experience the Trail and historic sites featured on the app.  It is the only official app and is historically accurate with text approved by Boston-based historians.
